2 Years

Today is Cinco De Mayo, a day of Mexican Celebration that Americans have adopted to be a celebration of their own. I have been to several Cinco, or some other Spanish number, De Mayo parties. Two years ago was the best one that I had been too. Of course because it was the day that Dana, my wife, and I got married. It was a great day for both of us. It was a day that went pretty smoothly, I feel because of the friends that we had and still have around us. We have gained new friends since then and the thought of "there would be a whole lot more people invited to the wedding comes to mind" because of those friendships.

Anyway, getting back to today. Today is going to be a busy day. I am at home working on a drawing for a project that I need to submit a quote for soon and then I am going to practice at Visio for this weeks music and then I am going to rush home so that Dana and I can go out for at least one drink tonight since we live downtown.

I look back on the past year and I would say that it has been better than the first year. We still get into little spats but the major arguments that we had in the first year did not happen this past year. Towards the end of year two, I think we made tremendous strides in our communication.

We have had some ups and downs, two major downs being 1)not getting the house that we wanted and 2)being I lost my job for no reason. However through the year we have made it. We feel like we did not get the house cause The Lord knew that I was going to lose my job soon. I lost my job cause I feel like The Lord wanted me to free up some time for me to pursue two dreams of mine, music and a business.

I feel like our lives are not at the point where I would like to be going into the third year of marriage and me being 13 days from turning 30, but I feel like we are on the same page with each other and we are working towards a common goal.

I LOVE YOU DANA AND I HOPE FOR MANY MANY MORE YEARS WITH YOU
